The Operating Room RN Coordinator is responsible for the overall facilitation of the daily routines within surgical services. The Operating Room RN Coordinator is proficient with scheduling, Operating Room assignments, staffing assignments, quality improvements, and understanding regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Operating Room scheduling.
Perioperative Customer Satisfaction/Patient Experience including patient rounding, and post procedure follow up telephone calls.
Monitors patient care for quality through chart audits, reporting of required safety initiatives to state regulatory agencies, and dissemination of results to staff.
Development and maintenance of Perioperative policies/procedures and assures review/revisions are done with timeliness.
Maintains education requirements and competencies of perioperative staff (Nursing, Surgical Techs, CSP, SDS, Outpatient, and Endoscopy).
Maintain a safe and aseptic working environment by quality control measures, data collection and Condition of Participation regulations for CSP, PACU, Cleanup Room, Sterile Supply, SDS, Endoscopy, Outpatient, and the OR Suites.
Provides, maintains and coordinates effective communication between nursing, medical staff and ancillary departments.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Required Licensure and Certifications
North Dakota Registered Nurse licensure, BLS-CPR and ACLS required upon start. PALS to be obtained within 6 months of start
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Reliable attendance Customer Service Skills Basic computer skills
Ability to operate equipment needed to assess patient Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality
Pay Range
$35.28 - $51.16 /hour
