Catholic Health Initiatives Program Coordinator RN in Valley City, North Dakota

Overview

As the RN Program Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating Outpatient services including ambulatory infusion. You will collaborate and assist ancillary services to coordinate preauthorization, medical necessity, patient scheduling, medication, audits and quality improvement projects. More specifically, the RN Program Coordinator is responsible for setting up chemo infusion, a service we currently do not provide. You'll schedule patients for any infusions preauthorize and provide medical necessity. You'll thrive in this role as you work collaboratively with the health team to assist with and implement changes including EHR navigation audits, as well as floating to the ER as backup.Your previous nurse experience adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

Responsibilities

Outpatient Coordinator

  • Reviews, coordinates and schedules any outpatient orders.

  • Completes pre-authorizations, reviews medications, ensures all medications are available and orders in place.

  • Performs infusions on scheduled patients.

  • May beasked to be back up for ER in extremely busy times.

Clinical Care

  • Performs all infusions as scheduled.

  • Emergency room back up- assist in the emergency room when there is an influx or critical patients.

Scheduling

  • Responsible for the Patient Schedule and ensuring in Meditech.

  • Ensuring preauthorization and medical necessity is in Meditech

  • Assist Nurse Manager with staffing schedule

Patient Experience/Quality

  • Leader Rounding

  • Chart Audits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or obtained within three (3) years of hire date.

  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Dakota or compact licensed eligible to work on North Dakota.

  • Two (2) years in the nurse role is required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS).

  • ACLS, PALS to be obtained within six (6) months.

Pay Range

$32.08 - $46.51 /hour
