Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of a Nursing and Clinical Educator for our NICUs. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and delivering nursing and clinical education programs that will ensure our staff is equipped with the necessary skills and competencies to provide quality and cost-effective patient care.

As a Nursing and Clinical Educator, you will be responsible for providing education, training, and consultancy services to clinical staff in your assigned areas. You will assess, develop, revise, and coordinate teaching programs for all nursing staff and ensure that educational programs meet all regulatory, risk, and patient safety requirements.

In addition, you will plan and direct orientation and residency programs, facilitate staff development, and develop competency assessment tools to ensure that our staff is equipped with the necessary skills and competency. You will also contribute to our quality improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to support these initiatives and incorporating changes into education offerings.

As a Nursing and Clinical Educator, you will collaborate with other educators to enhance self-learning, promote professionalism, reduce duplicative services, and provide opportunities for a more standardized system. You will also participate in related clinical instruction and conferences to maintain and improve your knowledge and competency in your specialty area.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and two years of RN nursing work experience in the designated specialty area. Previous work experience in the education/training of healthcare providers is strongly preferred. Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Licensure/Certification

  • Current active Washington State RN license.

  • Certification in specialty area to be obtained within one year of hire.

· Current Health Care Provider BLS required, unless assigned to work with Surgery Schedulers and Surginet.

Pay Range

$46.96 - $74.63 /hour
