MRI Technologist

Description

As an MRI Tech, you will operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment

safely and accurately to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid

in patient diagnosis.

Whatyou’ll do:

§

Preparing and positioning patients correctly and

effectively

§

Recording the requested diagnostic

images

§

Sending results to physician for

evaluation and diagnosis

§

Adhering to strict safety, regulatory,

licensing and department standards and protocols

§

Applying knowledge of aseptic

technique; maintaining quality control for all imaging equipment; and

maintaining knowledge of physics, anatomy, techniques and medical terminology

through participating in continuing education, seminars, meetings and

in-services

§

Maintaining records and logs

§

Performing incidental general office

duties such as answering phones, scheduling, filing, maintaining records and

ordering supplies

§

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school ofRadiological Technology

  • American Registry of Radiology Technologists(ARRT) certification

  • State of Washington Certification as aRadiological Technologist

  • ARRT MRI Certification is preferred

  • Current healthcare provider Basic Life Support(CPR) certification
