Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The CNA must adapt to all inpatient acute units and be able to build relationships quickly with patients, coworkers and physicians.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will assist in delivering nursing care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).

NOTE: Registered Nursing Assistant is a temporary classification for employees who have graduated from an accredited nursing assistant program but have not received certification through the Washington State Department of Health at the time of hire. Employees who have completed the training program have 120 days to satisfy the CNA requirement.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program (or military medical specialty training).

  • Six months related work experience is strongly preferred.

  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the Washington State Nursing Commission.

  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

NOTE: Registered Nursing Assistant: Employees who do not have CNA certification (but otherwise meet the qualifications of the core job) must be assigned to this classification. They must provide proof of application and/or pending examination for CNA certification which must be obtained within 120 days from the date of hire.

Pay Range

$21.02 - $28.66 /hour
