At Virginia Mason, our team excels in routine imaging and provides opportunities to perform advanced scans including Breast, Cardiac, Spectroscopy, Perfusion, MRI, Elastography, and MRI Guided procedures. We serve a wide variety of patients in multiple settings including inpatient hospital scans, working on the 3T, sports imaging for the Kraken NHL Team, and performing outpatient scans on our mobile magnets. All of our protocols are designed with the patient in mind and are created jointly by our team of techs and radiologists. Minimum hire rate is $51.23/hour.

Qualifications

We require:

  • This position requires current registration with the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

  • Must meet minimum requirements for Washington State to apply ionizing radiation and be certification-eligible (if not certified with Washington State, will not perform venapuncture or administer diagnostic agents and must obtain certification with Washington State within 30 days of employment)

  • Current CPR certification

  • Also required for this position are proficient computer skills with an emphasis on technical and billing/scheduling systems

  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathophysiology and magnetic resonance physics

  • Excellent public relations skills

  • the ability to multitask

  • the ability to lift equipment and assist in moving large patients; must be able to satisfy magnetic resonance and employee safety requirements Must obtain MR Registry within 1 year of hire

  • Preferred: Advanced MR Registry

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health Compliance requirements.
