Catholic Health Initiatives Manager of Quality in Park Rapids, Minnesota

Overview

As our Manager of Quality at CHI St. Joseph's Health Park Rapids, you'll lead ongoing quality improvement initiatives that collaborate with many healthcare professionals. The Quality Manager is responsible for the implementation and management of the Performance Improvement (PI) plan and maintaining compliance with Joint Commission and relevant State and Federal regulations related to quality monitoring and performance improvement.

Each day you'll make data-driven decisions to ensure our patients continuously receive high-quality care resulting in positive outcomes. In this leadership role, you'll analyze data and implement different strategies for performance improvements, quality outcomes, risk reduction/mitigation, patient safety, and infection control, to name a few.

To be successful in this role, you'll apply your experience in nursing, operations, data analysis, and technology to build on our culture of continuous improvement. Your project management skills will ensure our teams continue moving forward with current initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provides coordination and support for service area quality improvement activities.

  • Reviews and approves all external quality or risk management reporting to outside agencies.

  • Coordinates Focused Professional Practice Evaluation and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation activities for the medical staff.

  • Provides input into the medical staff credentialing process.

  • Reviews all adverse events for potential liability concerns and reports to the CHI Risk and Insurance Operations group.

  • Anticipates and promotes risk reduction strategies / activities across the organization

  • Facilitates robust internal evaluation / root cause analysis of adverse events and corresponding improvement measures, sharing lessons learned across the organization as appropriate.

  • Oversees workman’s compensation claims activity.

  • Provides leadership and support for patient and employee safety initiatives.

  • Provides coordination and support to patient experience initiatives, patient advocacy and the patient grievance management.

  • Acts as local liaison to the CSH Region and/or system for quality, risk management, patient experience, regulatory readiness, corporate compliance, and privacy activities.

  • Provides oversight, coordination and support for compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for the organization, i.e., CMS, The

  • Joint Commission, Minnesota Department of Health.

  • Develops and manages budget for Quality and Risk Management cost centers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or healthcare related field

  • Five (5) years' experience in healthcare.

Preferred

  • Experience in quality improvement, clinical outcomes management and/or accrediting/regulatory standards preferred. Previous change management, project management, team building experience preferred.

  • Previous acute care experience preferred. Previous leadership experience preferred.

Pay Range

$33.60 - $48.73 /hour
