Catholic Health Initiatives L&D Nurse in Livingston, Texas
Overview
$20,000 SIGN ON BONUS for FULL TIME positions for RN candidates with over 1 year of experience. This is paid out in one lump sum in the paycheck after you’ve been employed by us for 30 days (contingent on meeting the requirements.)
Located just off Highway 59 south, the 66-bed hospital in Livingston provides more than 60,000 patient services each year, with half of those services being offered in the Level 4 Trauma-Designated Emergency Department. Services offered include, Orthopedic care, Women’s Services, and a state-of-the-art Sleep Center. Imaging services include MRI, CT scan, nuclear medicine scans, 4D Ultrasound, cardiac echocardiograms, fluoroscopy, bone density scanning and 3D mammography.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Triage walk-ins to determine if a patient is in labor, water is broken, false alarm, etc
Support pregnant patients in labor including induction, epidural assistance (if needed), general pain management and fetal monitoring
Assist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections, tubal ligation, cerclage and emergency procedures
Educate patients on various interventions or procedures - medications (name and purpose), exams, and labor stages
Assess newborn and provide care.
Communicate with the care management team, including anesthesiologist, physician or midwife, lactation nurse, charge nurse, postpartum unit, patient and family
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Nursing
One(1) Year Of Experience in Labor and Delivery
LICENSURE Active Texas RN License, license in good standing with the The Texas State Board of Nursing
CERTIFICATIONS Basic Life Support (BLS AHA)and NRP Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Pay Range
$28.50 - $43.46 /hour
