Responsibilities

  • Provides evaluation, engineering/design and implementation services for new products, technologies and solutions to address corporate business requirements.

  • Initiates methods and approaches to meet defined business objectives. Resolves subtle complexities that often have significant implications for program’s overall success.

  • Has a deep awareness and understanding of emerging trends and technologies in IT and Healthcare.

  • Is considered a subject matter expert in the enterprise and multiple technology areas, platforms and functions.

  • Works on multiple projects that may span the enterprise.

  • Serves as an escalation point for complex requests and issues.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to CommonSpirit end users, Business Stakeholders and other members of CommonSpirit ITD.

  • Perform daily production support activities

  • Participate in team on-call rotations.

  • Perform patching and code deployments across all environments

  • Perform project resourcing, oversight and management.

  • Act as primary conduit to and representative of the ITD Operations team. Oversee support efforts between IT Operations and other CommonSpirit teams, and provide escalation and resolution functions when necessary.

  • Schedule and manage all performance tuning and troubleshooting efforts

  • Provide overall ownership of the Change Management process for the System Administration team and IT Operations technical environment.

  • Review, recommend and monitor the source code/versioning management function adhering to technical management guidelines

  • Provide overall technical ownership for all support and project issues and responsibilities within the System Administration and ETS teams.

  • Design, implement and maintain a comprehensive monitoring and alerting process across all ITD Operations platforms

  • Maintain primary responsibility for strategic planning, technical roadmap development, standards and architecture.

  • Build new test and production environments on existing or new hardware as required.

  • Identify automation opportunities and implement scripted solutions.

  • Lead efforts to identify technical innovation and process improvement opportunities.

  • Manage a comprehensive and ongoing release management and planning program.

  • Utilize standard tools and methodology to develop system and support performance metrics.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership through team motivation, coaching, mentoring, and delegating.

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge & expertise with CommonSpirit business processes and routines.

  • Research and recommend appropriate System Administration best practices, and tools.

  • Perform crisis management during high-severity operational incidents.

  • Perform meeting facilitation for staff, operational support and project meetings. Act as the primary operational support lead.

  • Complete assignments as required by the System Director and System Manager and work effectively with all levels of leadership.

  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager, coaches the team on personal development and develops training strategies and schedules.

  • Remote eligible.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Computer Science, Technology, or Business discipline or equivalent experience is required.

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional IT experience in an IT technical or infrastructure field is required, with healthcare industry experience strongly desired.

  • 5+ years Unix operational experience (Solaris, AIX, Linux) is required.

  • 5+ years Windows Server operational experience is required.

Desktop Automation

  • 7+ years’ experience with software packaging, security patching and deployment tools is required.

  • 7+ years’ experience with a large complex distributed networking environment is required.

  • 7+ years’ experience with complex Active Directory structures including GPO and GPP Administration is required.

  • 7+ years of advanced experience with scripting languages is required in at least three of the following languages, (AutoIT, VBS, KIX, and or PowerShell).

  • 5+ years designing and implementing automated solutions to automate manual processes. Solutions need to include utilizing a database similar to MS SQL or MYSQL.

  • 4+ years of progressively advanced experience in designing and implementing Web automated solutions.

  • 2+ year of experience as a team lead.

Messaging

  • 9+ years’ experience with Windows Server operating systems is required.

  • 8+ years of experience in Exchange support operations, analysis and design in a large, multi-site IT organization.

  • 3+ year experience with PowerShell and/or VB Script.

  • 5+ years VMWare experience required.

  • 4+ years’ experience with SQL server.

  • 5 + years’ experience with Archiving Solution.

  • Messaging MCITP Certification or equivalent experience.

  • Extensive experience in a large enterprise operating environment supporting 10,000+ users.

  • Expert in architect/design, and deployment of Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010.

  • Extensive experience in an ITIL environment.

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Exchange administration, upgrading, tuning and troubleshooting.

  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting server hardware problems.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL 2012/2014 and IIS.

  • Extensive experience with 3rd party archiving, spam, filtering, secure messaging, fax and edge devices that directly link into Exchange.

Server Automation

  • 7+ years’ experience with software packaging, security patching and deployment tools is required.

  • 7+ years’ experience working in a large complex distributed networking environment is required.

Pay Range

$51.66 - $74.91 /hour
