Job Summary/ Purpose

TheRevenue Cycle Manager is responsible for leading the team and driving thestrategies for collecting payment from patient, insurance companies andgovernment health programs as well as facilitating the appeals process, andreporting collections and accounts receivable reconciliation. This position requires a thoroughunderstanding of the medical billing process and specifically, knowledge ofthe coding and collection process. TheRevenue Cycle Manager is responsible for the entire accounts receivable processas well as personnel management.

EssentialKey Job Responsibilities

  • Determineappropriate and effective performance metrics and staff requirements for thedepartment to run with efficiency, accuracy and outstanding customer service.

  • Providedirection and monitor performance to ensure compliance with all confidentialitypolicies and procedures relating to HIPAA for both patients and staff.

  • Manageworkflow of personnel, to include the schedules of team members to meetclient’s needs.

  • Monitorcoding issues for billing compliance.

  • Reportto appropriate department any provider issues, computer issues and payerissues.

  • Superviseand develop goals for team leaders and associates and monitor theirperformance.

  • Reviewspersonnel productivity reports and provides feedback to team members; set goalsand expectations for quantity and quality measures with team members.

  • Organizeand facilitate monthly meetings with team members.

  • Reportsto Director of Revenue Cycle and CFO as to status of Accounts Receivable.

  • Servesas a liaison between Administration and Associates, and provides positivecommunication and feedback to the teams.

  • Demonstratescompetency in computer skills required to function on MMS and Patient Accounts computer systems andMicrosoft Word and Excel;ProvidesProductivity and Goal Charts and Graphs as needed; Expresses thoughts and ideasone-on-one and in various CBO teams; Ability to communicate effectively andpositively with peers, practices, and team; Exercises good listening skills.

  • Developsand maintains smooth, cooperative working relationships with others.

  • Looksfor ways to improve service and introduce new work procedures that saves time,effort, and money

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelorof Business Administration degree preferred or a broad proven practicalexperience in accounts receivable, preferably in a health care environment, maybe acceptable.

Experience:

  • Five or more years of management experience is required. Ability to work and

communicate effectively with Office Managers and CBO staff.

  • Knowledge

of insurance plans and contract agreements

  • Knowledge

of CPT -4 and ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes

  • Knowledge

of Credit and Collection Laws, PCI Regulations, and Stark laws and

Regulations.
