Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Department at Chandler Regional Medical Center supports all departments in the hospital through innovation and automation. The department is open 24 hours per day and utilizes both decentralized and centralized pharmacists along with specialized pharmacists in the areas of infectious disease and cardiology. The technicians assist the pharmacist with the help of the Omnicell automated dispensing machine Cerner patient care system and bedside medication verification. Shifts are varied and consist of 8 hour shifts for pharmacists and 8 hour shifts for technicians.

We are looking for an exceptional pharmacist to join our team. This pharmacist will need to be a skilled problem solver. He/she will perform all computer order entry in an accurate thorough and timely manner. This pharmacist will be expected to review medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness duplications interactions overall effectiveness and safety. As a leader of the pharmacy team he/she will be responsible managing the technicians and delegating appropriate tasks while validating the accuracy of medications intended for distribution from the IV room central pharmacy or decentralized automated dispensing machines. Extensive USP 797 and 800 knowledge and experience is a plus as this pharmacist will provide clinical pharmacy services to patients receiving IV medications and be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete documentation for the dispensing of IV solutions.

Under general supervision is responsible for the delivery and documentation of pharmaceutical care provided to patients using the medication use process (selecting prescribing dispensing administration and monitoring of medications).

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D

Current Arizona State Pharmacist License in good standing

Pay Range

$51.66 - $74.91 /hour
