  • Operates a variety of ionizing radiation producing equipment to ensureeffective, accurate and timely delivery of quality patient care.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education

  • Required: Associate degree or equivalent

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree (e.g. BA, BS,BSN, BSW)

  • Major

  • Required: Allied Health or RadiologicTechnology

  • Preferred: Business, Allied Health orRadiologic Technology

  • Experience

  • Required: Two to three years

  • Preferred: Three to five years

  • Skills

  • Required: Rad tech skill set; CT tech skill set.

  • Preferred: Rad tech skill set; advanced CT tech skill set.

  • Licensure/Certifications

  • Required: ARRT(R)/MRT

  • Preferred: ARRT(R) (CT)/MRT

  • ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • ESSENTIAL

  • Utilizes innovative customer servicetechniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient andtheir family. Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and externalcustomers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patientexperience.

  • Perform complex specialized tasksassociated with the operation of x-ray and CT scanners and their relatedequipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Positionpatients for appropriate procedure using immobilization and protective equipmentas necessary.

  • Assist physician with interventionalimaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable.

  • Establishes and maintains lines ofcommunication with all other staff members and Radiologist to insure aneffective and harmonious working environment.

  • Communicates effectively with patients andtheir families about the procedure to be performed in order to obtaininformation and to offer reassurance.

  • Performs other appropriate duties asrequired in a competent, professional and courteous manner.

  • OTHER

  • Performs other duties as assigned to meetthe organization`s needs.
