Catholic Health Initiatives General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider in Bryan, Texas

Job Summary: The Advanced Practice Provider is involved in direct patient care, primarily in the clinic setting. The clinic has a team atmosphere where the the APP will partner with the established three Surgeons as well as the clinical and non-clinical staff.

Education and Certifications required:

  • Master's degree Graduate from an approved PA or NP program;

  • Texas license,

  • National Board Certification

  • BLS (active).

Experience: 1 - 3 year minimum experience preferred, but new graduates will also be considered

Salary and Benefits: Salary range is negotiable based upon experience.

We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package to include sign on bonus and relocation for new hires. Advanced Practice Providers receive reimbursement for continuing education, licensure and certification.

Core Competencies for Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC)

  • Obtain and record medical history;

  • Perform physical examinations as appropriate;

  • Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as appropriate;

  • Formulate a diagnosis;

  • Identify and prescribe appropriate pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic interventions as allowed by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, Texas Board of Medicine, Prescriptive Authority/Collaborative Practice Agreement, And DEA regulations;

  • Educate and counsel patients and families according to diagnosis;

  • Make appropriate referrals to patient and family
