  • JOB SUMMARY

  • Operates various types of physiological monitoring equipment within the lab. Scrubs at tableside. Operates Radiological Equipment.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education

  • Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree

  • Major

  • Preferred:Exercie Science, Biology, Physiology, Respiratory Science, radiology, cardiopulmonary Science, or Paramedic.

  • Experience

  • Preferred: 2 years CCL experience

  • Skills

  • Required: CVT or RT, or the combination of ACLS plus demonstrated proficiency in the performance of scrubbing CCL procedures

  • Licensure/Certifications

  • Required: ACLS

  • Preferred: RT, RCIS, EMT-P, LVN

  • Location

  • Required: Must be able to take call and live within 30 minutes of hospital, and/or make accommodations for being within 30 minutes of hospital when taking call.

  • ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • ESSENTIAL

  • Exhibits and shares knowledge of policies and procedures. Acts as mentor and preceptor to new technologist.

  • Extremely knowledgeable and demonstrated competency of diagnostic procedures.

  • Extremely knowledge and demonstrated competency in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath's, peripheral, neuro, and EP procedures.

  • Extremely knowledgeable in the performance of Electrophysiological studies including CARTO 3.

  • Extremely knowledgeable in the operation of Physiological Monitoring system for diagnostic, interventional studies. Accurately enters and records pertinent patient data, documents events, and calculates valve areas.

  • Measure and documents pressure recordings.

  • Keeps an accurate log of events, to include medications, hemodynamics, supplies, and procedures performed.

  • Troubleshoots problems and unusual events and reports them to supervisor.

  • Scrubs at tableside assisting physician with procedure.

  • Able to take Scrub Call Independently and assist Physician's in acute MI and Stroke procedures on unstable patients.

  • Extremely knowledgeable of various Stents their accurate preparation and deployment.

  • Extremely knowledgeable of AngioJet procedures, including preparation and deployment.

  • Extremely knowledgeable and demonstrated competency in the insertion of IABP pumps in critically ill patients.

  • Extremely knowledgeable of Intravascular Ultrasound theory and application to include system set up and operation.

  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and ability to maintain a sterile field while assisting the physician in performing the procedures.

  • Operates Physiological Monitoring system for Diagnostic, EP, Neuro, and Interventional studies.

  • Accurately enters and records pertinent patient data. Measures and documents pressure recordings. Keeps an accurate log of events, to include medications, hemodynamics, supplies, and procedures performed.

  • Calculates valve areas.

  • Troubleshoots problems and unusual events and reports them to supervisor.

  • Management of financial resources

  • Cleans, stocks rooms, puts away supplies and equipment uses supplies and equipment properly and economically, and submits appropriate and accurate charges.

  • Interpersonal communication skills

  • Communicates with co-workers, physicians, vendors and visitors in a manner reflecting SJRHC's Core Values.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members of varying capabilities and training.
