CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

Responsibilities

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:

Provides technical expertise in Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures in accordance with the mission and philosophy of St. Alexius Medical Center

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assure safety of patients and staff in the MRI environment

  • Screens patient for contraindications and positions patient for procedures by established MRI protocols.

  • Properly explains procedure to each patient

  • Perform high quality MRI exams

  • Performs Quality Assurance checks on equipment.

  • Injects Contrast medial under supervision of a physician

  • Assists in maintaining clean room and supply inventory

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology or Magnetic Resonance

Certification: Basic Life Support Certification (CPR- Healthcare Provider) within 480 hours of employment and meets re-certification as required.

Licensure: Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with Radiography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, ND Radiology Tech License

Experience: Preference for one year clinical experience in MRI

  2. MRI skills obtained in approved School of Radiologic / MRI Technology

Pay Range

$30.49 - $41.92 /hour
